Princess Leona of the Kingdom of Cor Leonis dies after being betrayed by her trusted brother, Prince Aiden.

Returning to the past, she enters the military camp of General Aslan, the guardian of the kingdom, under the name ‘Leo’ to protect the kingdom and her people.

Becoming Aslan’s squire, she prevents the betrayal of a subordinate officer, saves Aslan, who leads the long war that’d lasted years to victory, and then secretly returns to the palace.

Meanwhile, Aiden, who is desperate to be named crown prince, proceeds with a marriage proposal between Leona and Aslan to gain power.

Aslan, who’s been anxiously searching for the missing Leo, refuses, saying he has someone in his heart, however, the king declares that if he does not find and marry this person within 15 days, he must wed the princess.

Ultimately, Aslan, unable to find Leo, marries the princess without seeing her face hidden beneath a veil.

Leona misunderstands, thinking that Aslan intends to punish her for disappearing and that he has another woman, and thus proposes a contract.

“Find her, the person you said you had in your heart. Whether you find her or not, on the first anniversary of our marriage, we will annul it.”

Aslan was surprised by the unexpected proposal but accepted the contract.
