Shortly after the Duke’s daughter Melissa turned ten, her cousin Amelia, who was the same age and had lost her parents, was taken in by the Duke’s family. From that day on, Melissa’s father, brother, and grandmother doted on and cared for Amelia, while she herself went unnoticed in their eyes.
